New Area Sales Manager for Scotland, Northern Ireland and Eire. (Barnes and Mullins)

Barnes & Mullins are delighted to welcome industry veteran Brian Nicol, as the newly appointed Area Sales Manager for Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

Brian has been active in the music industry since 1993, when he acted as the head-buyer for Dumfries based retail store, John Douglas. After 11 years of retail experience, Brian then moved to Access All Areas as Sales Manager – from where he now joins the B&M team.

Bruce Perrin, B&M’s Managing Director is very pleased with the new appointment saying, “Seeing Darren Cowan leave the country was a great shame for us and his many dealers, but I believe that Brian is a more than worthy successor. Brian brings to the position a wealth of life and industry experience that I am sure will be greatly appreciated by his new retail dealers. Having been both retail buyer and distribution sales manager within the Musical Instrument business, Brian will have a special understanding of the issues and opportunities his customers are faced with”.

After only his first week on the job, Brian himself commented, “I am still blown away by the fact that every customer I have met so far has such a high opinion of Barnes & Mullins. I knew the reputation was good, but I can truly say that not one person has yet had a bad word to say. It’s a privilege for me to be part of a team with such high standards. I look forward to serving my new dealers to the very best of my ability”.

Brian’s recent appointment comes because of the Stateside-emigration of his predecessor, Darren Cowan. Darren and his young family have decided to start a new life in Austin, Texas.
All at Barnes & Mullins would like to wish Darren and family the very best for the future.
