Shadow unveils new packaging (Shadow Electronics)
Shadow Electronics – the highly respected pickup and preamp manufacturer – have unveiled new packaging for their most popular products.
Designed with the retailer in mind, the new packaging marks a definite move toward making after-market pickups a more ‘self-service’ item.
“In my experience,” says Alex Mew, B&M’s marketing manager, “whether it be as a retailer or as an Area Sales Manager, most accessories such as pickups are located under the counter or inside a cabinet. This immediately creates a barrier between the product and the customer, which is never ideal. Also, previous Shadow packaging – although attractive and tough - was a closed box that required opening and subsequent product explanation.”
“But now,” Mew continues, “we have what we have worked on for a long while: blister packaging that is easy to display; easy to explain; and easy on the eye. I’m sure that this improvement can only help to more clearly illustrate the qualities of Shadow’s pickup technology, and will ultimately result in increased enquiries and sales for all retail stockists.”
The new packaging will be initially applied to the range of Shadow soundhole Pickups starting with the SH330, SH141 and SH145, and be available in the UK in the late summer.
